About this experience
See Iceland's classic Golden Circle in a small group with a local driver-guide, not in a big coach. We pick you up at your hotel and travel in a comfortable vehicle chosen for the size of the group, so the day moves calmly with real time at each stop.
At Thingvellir National Park you walk through the Almannagjá gorge between two continents and see where Iceland's first parliament met. On the way you meet Icelandic horses. At the Geysir area, Strokkur erupts every few minutes and there is time for lunch at your own cost. Gullfoss, the "Golden Falls", drops in two steps into a deep canyon.
The last stop is Kerið, a red volcanic crater with a turquoise lake, with your entrance ticket included. Your driver-guide shares stories about nature, history and everyday life in Iceland, and drops you back at your hotel in Reykjavík.

Itinerary and highlights
Walk through the Almannagjá gorge between the North American and Eurasian plates, see the Öxarárfoss waterfall and hear how Iceland's first parliament met here under the open sky.
Watch Strokkur erupt every few minutes and walk among the steaming hot springs of the Geysir geothermal area. Lunch break here at your own cost.
See the Hvítá river drop in two steps into a deep canyon, from the viewpoints above and the path beside the falls.
Walk the rim of a red volcanic crater with a turquoise lake. Your entrance ticket is included.
Meeting and pickup information
- Pickup is available from any hotel or address in the Reykjavik Capital Area, or from one of three meeting points: Bus stop #1 Reykjavik City Hall, Harpa Concert Hall or Hallgrimskirkja church. If a vehicle cannot reach your address, we will pick you up at the nearest meeting point and let you know where. Your exact pickup time is sent the evening before.
