The volcano that erupted here in Westman Islands in 1973, creating dramatic changes to the landscape. You have the option to hike to the top for amazing panoramic views of the both sides of the island or visit the interactive Eldheimar Museum to learn more about the eruption’s impact on the entire society here.

Stórhöfði: Known as the windiest place in Europe, this viewpoint also offers a chance to see puffins up close during the summer months.

One of the island’s most iconic natural formations and internet viral sensation, this basalt sea cliff looks just like an elephant’s head emerging from the ocean.
